I constantly meet in discussions and other resources how Tokonole supporters claim that they only process the edge of Tokonole and that's it. I constantly write to them that Tokonole is not a finishing agent for the edge, but only prepares the edge for further processing. Why? Because Tokonole consists mainly of polyvinyl acetate, that is, PVA glue, which sags along with the skin with constant exposure to water, for example, on bags, and even if you cover the edge treated with Tokonole with wax, the edge will still become limp and the wax will peel off. It is necessary to at least impregnate the edge with paint. It’s just that some craftsmen polish the cuts on vegetable-tanned leather to a marketable appearance and consider the work finished on this. This is not true.
