Impressions of Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum

Tom Ford's 2006 debut Black Orchid was followed by a denser, slightly modified Black Orchid Parfum in 2020.

Despite the above fact, I managed to find a more-or-less clear description of the fragrance; there is only a comparison of the Parfum version with the original version.

And there is an explanation for this phenomenon - the aroma is so integral that it is extremely difficult to isolate individual notes from it.

Moreover, Black Orchid creates a completely different aura on the skin of different people.

While Black Orchid reveals a pleasant aroma of mushrooms and citrus on my skin, on the skin of a friend it acquired an extremely unpleasant, suffocating plastic tint.

This is probably why such a unique fragrance with such a big name is the best-selling Tom Ford fragrance for women on the secondary market.

Moreover, they sell Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum in almost full bottles without even a few test sprays, completely disappointed in the scent.

Unlike the plain cardboard box, the 50ml bottle of Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum feels very comfortable in the hand and is convenient to carry, as it is a flat flask.

A gold thread with a seal and the initials "TF" is supposedly wound around the bottle by hand. To me, it looks like a dust collector.

If you look at the pyramid and smell the aroma, you can catch these notes, but not blindly.

And this is actually perfume, not a marketing ploy, since it was released at that time and by those people for whom the weight of their name meant more than the weight of the money they could get.

A perfume stain is clearly visible on my hand. The scent doesn't have a pronounced sillage, but it lasts a long time—even on my skin, where long-lasting fragrances fade for a maximum of four hours, this scent lasts for at least eight hours.
