Correspondence table for skin thickness in ounces and mm
In some countries, skin thickness is measured in ounces. The weight in ounces is measured as the weight of 1 square foot of leather. The greater the thickness, the greater the weight.
1 oz = 0.4 mm
2 oz = 0.8 mm
3 oz = 1.2 mm
4 oz = 1.6 mm
5 oz = 2.0 mm
6 oz = 2.4 mm
7 oz = 2.8 mm
8 oz = 3.2 mm
9 oz = 3.6 mm
10 oz = 4.0 mm
11 oz = 4.4 mm
12 oz = 4.8 mm
13 oz = 5.2 mm
14 oz = 5.6 mm
This system, in my opinion, has a significant drawback, since the density of the skin has a significant difference, depending on the manufacturer, respectively, the weight and thickness will change significantly when calculating, but that is what it is.

Skin dimensions in square feet in terms of decimeters
In some countries (USA, UK) skin area is measured in square feet. Length is measured in inches, feet and yards.
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 foot (foot) = 30.48 cm = 12 inches = 3 dm
1 yard (yard) = 0.9 m = 90 cm = 3 feet = 9 dm
1 square foot (sf) = 900 sq. cm = 9 sq. dm.

Punch pitch for some products
Faced with the fact that some Russian tanners with foam at the mouth prove that a punch pitch of 5 millimeters for watch straps is normal. I give a table of Chinese masters of the punch pitch for some products.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to give a column of thread thickness in this table, since it is different for different manufacturers and lays down differently, but you can approximately choose a thread according to the thickness of the tooth, dividing the thickness of the punch tooth by 2.
