Many people on social media believe that coffee maker capsules are unreasonably expensive.
For such users, as usual, the Chinese have come to the rescue and are releasing reusable containers for capsule coffee makers.
I bought this set on the Ozon market.
The seller stated that this is the second version of the capsules. I don't know how they differ from the first version.
The kit comes with beautiful instructions.
Unfortunately, the instructions do not say anywhere that the containers need to be washed and dried first. I was in a hurry and did not wash them, so my first batches of coffee tasted incredibly chemical.
The kit also includes a measuring spoon. Some buyers also get additional rubber seals. I didn't get them.
The coffee containers are irregularly shaped, as it is unclear what they are made of, by whom, and where.
But there is a logo on the capsules.
The lid has a hole for the needle to enter the capsule and it is necessary to insert it exactly at 6 o'clock so that the needle enters the hole exactly and does not damage the container, and does not damage itself.
From the point where the needle enters, water is supplied to the center.
These reusable capsules have an important advantage - you can use the coffee you like if you can't find the right capsules.
In this case, I used pre-ground Venetto coffee - I like its rich taste.
It should be noted that after opening, coffee must be poured into an airtight container so that it does not oxidize.
At first I poured three measuring spoons from the kit into the capsule, but when using three spoons of coffee the taste is too strong even for me.
At first, water was filling the capsule's receiver, which was depressing, but then I started pouring in two spoons of coffee, which is enough for my portion, and everything became normal. In addition, the dried-out sealing rings probably took their shape and so much water did not pour out into the receiver - no more than with a factory coffee capsule.
The seller sells a plastic pusher for compacting a coffee pill in a capsule, for the price of the whole set. Here's a life hack: a spice grinder lid works well for compacting the pill.
Despite all the doubts and concerns, this method produces a stronger and richer espresso than the factory Dolche Gusto capsules, so now I use it, since I need to make two servings of coffee at once, and in the horn type it is problematic. Measured, loosened, compacted, loaded, prepared, removed, rinsed, put to dry. If something is wrong, you do not need to repair the coffee maker - throw away the reusable capsules, buy new ones or use the factory ones.
Interesting and useful experience, I am happy with the result on the coffee maker Polaris PCM 2020.
