This year, the question arose of what to wear in the spring and summer, and since everyone was buzzing about the Afnan Supremacy line, I decided to take Supremacy Not Only Intense because it is, after all, a perfume, unlike the silver version, which is in eau de parfum.
Reviewers are writing enthusiastically and saying that it is a clone of Creed Aventus.
The purchase, naturally, took place on the website Aroma-butik, since the assortment has reasonable prices and no counterfeits have been noticed on sale (at least I haven’t come across any negative reviews).
All products arrive perfectly packaged. This time, they even sent their own branded bag.
I also ordered Mancera Inense cedrat boise, and the store sent me a sample of HUGO BOSS Baldessarini Ambre as a gift, which I will review later.
The cellophane wrapper has an elongated seam.
Why am I emphasizing how the seam is sealed? In this day and age of Chinese counterfeits, it's important to know the nuances of the product you're buying. In this case, the package won't be sealed with a simple soldering iron.
Among other things, the packaging contains a printed full-size label with the QR code of the Honest Sign.
I'll give you an example of a genuine Afnan hologram, as I recently encountered a high-quality fake perfume where the hologram wasn't fully completed, but if you're in a hurry, you might not notice that it's different from the original.
Afnan and Lattafa holograms always contain a small inscription ORIGINAL.
At a different angle of inclination, there is an alternating small inscription AFNAN.
At a different angle, small Afnan logos appear.
Next, a large AFNAN inscription and a large company logo appear.
I consider the Honest Sign system's verification useless—there's no guarantee that the original product will be registered and that the one being sent isn't a Chinese counterfeit.
More interesting is checking with various online calculators. I believe the most accurate and fastest authenticity check is UAE Fragrance's QR code.
Afnan always has high-quality and sophisticated packaging, and this is not surprising, because Afnan's quality is above the average among Arab manufacturers.
The box is closed with a slider, which contains all the necessary information and a hologram sticker. Note that this copy has Russian text.
The box itself is made of high-quality glossy plastic.
There is an imitation monogram on the front.
I'd like to point out that not only the slider, but also the box itself has Russian text.
When you open the box lid, like the cover of a book, you can see a plastic insert with an imitation monogram.
The liner elements have a 3-D structure.
If you turn the insert, you will see the bottle itself in the box.
The back of the insert reads:
A superb range of fragrances...
Supremacy immerses you in a world of exquisite fragrances that deliver true pleasure. Supremacy prides itself on its unique, luxurious fragrances, crafted from exquisite materials and the finest ingredients.
Glowing with quality and style, Supremacy is the choice of a privileged clientele.
Created by Afnan
Afnan produces several versions of Supremacy, which differ not only in the concentration of perfume, but also in the color of the bottle.
The bottle's design can't be called sophisticated due to its vulgar glossy finish, but you can't call it scary either.
The bottle has a pleasant, solid weight.
There is an inscription AFNAN under the lid ring.
There's no AFNAN inscription inside the cap, like on 9PM perfume, only a rivet, which is confusing. If anyone knows what the 100% original should look like, please let me know in the review of this article. I'd be very grateful.
The bottom of the bottle has the inscription AFNAN and the number 5.
There's a defect on the bottom of the bottle that's easily felt by fingers, and this defect is common among most Russian users. It's likely the mold itself is defective.
This specimen has a concentration of Extrait de parfum, that is, perfume.
The fact that this is a perfume is not only on the box but also on the slider. I should note that the perfume was produced in 2023, meaning it has been aged for three years at the time of writing.
Upon first application, there was a hissing sound, as if the bottle was under a vacuum.
No oily stain appears on the hand where applied, which is very unusual for a perfume with a concentrated scent.
The spray works perfectly, releasing a fine cloud of perfume.
To understand the similarity between Afnan's Supremacy Not Only Intense and Creed Aventus, it's worth examining the composition pyramids.
Creed Aventus
Aventus belongs to the chypre fruity fragrance group. Its main characteristic is the contrast between juicy fruits and a masculine smoky base.
Top notes: Pineapple, bergamot, blackcurrant, and apple.
Heart notes: Birch, patchouli, jasmine, and rose.
Base notes: Musk, oakmoss, ambergris, and vanilla.
Character: A bright pineapple opening gradually transitions into a smoky, woody trail of birch and moss.
Supremacy Not Only Intense
Top notes: juicy blackcurrant (dominates at the top), bergamot, and apple.
Heart notes: oakmoss, patchouli, and lavender.
Base notes: ambergris, musk, and saffron.
Even the pyramid reveals that the fragrances are different – instead of pineapple, Supremacy Not Only Intense opens with blackcurrant. Nevertheless, there is a similarity in the characteristic medicinal aroma, though it doesn't last long. After about an hour or two, Supremacy Not Only Intense fades into a base identical to Mancera Intense Cedrat Boise – the same dried orange peels on dried pine branches.
Reviewers often call Supremacy Not Only Intense a hybrid of two fragrances: Creed Aventus and Nishane Hacivat. However, Supremacy Not Only Intense lacks the fruity juiciness of Nishane Hacivat. I would call Supremacy Not Only Intense a blend of Creed Aventus and Mancera Intense Cedrat Boise—a fruity, berry-pharmacy-like, understated opening that transitions to a calm, orange-pine base with a subtle mossy note.
It's important to understand that Creed Aventus has undergone so many reformulations that the larger the sample size, the more opinions will be formed. In my mind, it's a vibrant fragrance at every stage of its lifespan, but modern users note that modern Creed Aventus is an aquatic-cologne substance that bears no resemblance to the legend.
Based on these conclusions, Afnan's Supremacy Not Only Intense isn't just another Credd Aventus clone, but a standalone, distinctive fragrance that combines the best features of both famous fragrances.
It's difficult for me to comment on longevity, as after two hours, I can't detect my fragrance styling, and it's unlikely to linger on my hot, sweaty skin. Therefore, I suggest you purchase a decant from me at keerill.com to experience the scent for yourself.
