English (United Kingdom) I bought this eau de parfum when I had a thing for Tom Ford Tobacco and Vanilla.
I searched for all perfumes and other things that had tobacco and vanilla in their names.
In keeping with its budget-friendly niche, Smoked Oud & Vanilla comes in a cardboard box with a wood-like design. Even compared to other Maison Alhambra products, the presentation is modest, but at least it's not overly pretentious.
The stated fragrance pyramid is as follows:
Top notes: rum, myrrh, olibanum, saffron, coriander, orange, and lime.
Middle notes: barley, coffee, plum, frangipani, narcissus, artemisia, and rose.
Base notes: Madagascar vanilla, suede, tobacco, mahogany, patchouli, oakmoss, and violet.
Despite its budget, the eau de parfum is well-protected, despite the fact that Maison Alhambra is a subsidiary of Lattafa, created specifically to clone famous fragrances without lawsuits.
There's a hologram sticker on the side of the box.
There is a unique number at the bottom of the box,
Which is duplicated on the bottle.
Even Lattafa itself, and many reputable companies, don't offer such good protection.
The bottle is beautiful and elegant. The cap is handcrafted from natural wood.
The scent reminds me of Gerini's Seductive Cinnamon. It's just as pleasant, with a hint of bready mash at the start; sweet, vanilla-spicy with a hint of musk and oud. The scent isn't harsh—it kind of envelops the body.
There's no hint of Tom Ford's Tobacco & Vanilla at all. While Tom Ford's Tobacco & Vanilla is a room with expensive leather furniture infused with cigar smoke and vanilla, Alhambra Smoked Oud & Vanille is the scent of an expensive cigar with a sweet aftertaste. This isn't a clone, but a different vision and execution of the idea, and that's good, it means the idea is alive and well.
Unfortunately, like most Arabian perfumes, Maison Alhambra's Smoked Oud & Vanilla is extremely short-lived; They last for a maximum of one hour with vigorous activity or two hours if you just lie on the couch without moving.
