While I was writing the article, the Flash E Vapor (FEB) V 4.5 S+ arrived and I had to rethink the whole concept of the Bishop tank.
This article is intended for people over 18 years of age who want to quit smoking!
MTL RTA Bishop was released a long time ago, but despite the fact that nothing conceptually new is being released, it remains relevant to this day, with the exception of the dubious Bishop 2 and various versions of Era.
Bishop MTL RTA, unlike FEV, comes in a nice, sturdy box.
The tank was developed in collaboration with The Vaping GENTLEMEN CLUB.
The tank is produced by the Chinese company Ambition Mods.
The tank is manufactured in Shenzhen, China.
Operating instructions are available.
There are several options for completing the tank: with black and transparent glass for 4 milliliters, with black and transparent glass for 2 milliliters, without black glass for 4 milliliters, without black glass for 2 milliliters.
To the credit of the seller and unlike FEV, the kit includes the most popular airflows for MTL at 2 x 0.8 mm, 2 x 1.0 mm, 2 x 1.2 mm and a blind insert.
The kit includes spare o-rings (rubber gaskets) and screws. It should be taken into account that the o-ring in the lower part of the flask has a different cross-section than the one in the upper part!
The base has two recesses for collecting condensate and stops for the spiral. Cotton wool is placed in these stops, on which the drippers (wicks) rest.
The screws are large and require a Philips cross-head screwdriver.
The tank has a standard 510 gold plated connector.
There is no need to unscrew the connector, even when washing the tank. I have seen used tanks with the connector torn apart by a screwdriver.
The drippers, unlike the same FEV, are non-removable. And there is no need to change the drippers - everything works perfectly, there is no undersupply of liquid or overflow.
It should be taken into account that for normal operation of the blower, two blowers should be installed at once, one on each side of the same hole diameter, despite the fact that it is possible to install jets with different hole diameters.
For precise positioning of the dome, the base has a hexagonal recess, with one corner rounded and the next one pointed; and so on through every other corner.
When installing the jets, they should be moistened with liquid, otherwise the o-rings will be cut.
MTL RTA Bishop has a tendency to whistle when vaping. There is an assumption that the tank starts whistling due to liquid splashes getting into the jets, but the tank can whistle even with completely dry jets.
Most likely, the tank has this quiet, eerie whistle due to the flute effect, when the air from the opposite jet breaks against the platform of the opposite jet cut. The correctness of this conclusion is confirmed by the installation of the jets in the Bishop 2, where they are installed at an angle to each other. The whistle can be eliminated by grinding the cut of the jets and making it semicircular.
The variability of this whistle defies logic - sometimes it whistles, and sometimes it doesn't. The whistle is so quiet that you don't notice it or you get used to it.
The Bishop has a tighter draw than the FEV, with the same nozzle hole diameters, which is good and brings it closer to a cigarette draw.
Despite the fact that it would be more correct to install a 0.35 mm nichrome single core for MTL, I installed a 0.75 Ohm 2Core Fused Clapton with a 2.5 mm mandrel.
In this case, the winding option coincided with what the developers expected, but this may not always be the case, and it is unclear what prevented them from making a base with four screws for different windings.
Laying the cotton wool is extremely simple: you just need to lay the ends of the cotton wool on the posts and cut the ends flush with the ends of the post and that's it.
One of the conveniences is that you can check the condition of the cotton wool spiral and the holes for supplying liquid (wicks on the feva) at any time. The spiral should be in the center.
The top part has a small platform for tips (mouthpieces), but adequate tips look quite normal.
The tank has a diameter of 22 mm. The height varies from 44 mm and up.
The Bishop is filled from the bottom of the liquid flask, like many tanks now, however, like the Flash E Vapor. You get used to this after the second fill and do not react to it in any way. Most likely, this is a blessing, since you can see exactly how much liquid you have filled.
Now about the question that interests most readers. What does Bishop taste like? I'll start with the fact that the concept of taste is purely subjective and depends on the physical condition of a particular person. Based on this, practice shows that for me personally: Throat Hit (TH) - from average to its complete absence, as well as on FEV. If a person vaporizes over-aromatized salt liquid on a POD, then it will seem to him that the taste is weak. If a person has a chemical burn of receptors from the liquid, then he will not feel the taste at all.
Therefore, you need to get used to the tank and the liquid. When you first vape organics, it seems that there is no taste at all.
If we rank the liquids presented in the pictures here, we can imagine it like this: weak taste, strong smell - Dragon house; balanced taste and smell - Barrel and, finally, the strongest taste and aroma - Dad's.
Does this mean that any liquid is better or worse? No! Liquids with a rich taste quickly become boring. In addition, over-flavored liquids can dull the taste sensations.
With the premium line December Dad's, the taste on Bishop is not just rich and dense, such a rich taste begins to get boring after a couple of days and you can safely dilute the liquid.
Previously, I was looking for liquids with a strong aroma, but over time I came to the conclusion that over-flavored liquids quickly become boring and you no longer get such pleasure. It is better to get used to a liquid with a small content of flavors, but so that they are dense.
The tank looks normal and harmonious even on a high SBS mod.
Bishop has one drawback - its flasks quickly burst with any unskilled action, so the Chinese produce them in large quantities and it is better to immediately get additional ones if your kit does not have an additional flask.
Bishop is twice as low in height as FEV, but if you install an MTL type on Bishop, they are equal in height.
This tank is for those who want to get a cigarette drag and remove the psychological dependence on smoking cigarettes. If you need something to fart, gurgle and need huge clouds of steam in the tank, then you do not need this tank, but a hookah with the possibility of sado maso. A quiet high and a release of adrenaline of the puberty period are different things.
Excellent spill-proof tank with excellent draw and good taste.
