Let's imagine a real-life situation: a person is working and needs to vape to curb their nicotine cravings, but they have no way to distract themselves. The worker vapes and works, unable to count how many puffs they've taken, and, getting carried away, they overdose.
This article is intended for people over 18 years of age who want to quit smoking!
Why manufacturers haven't implemented a puff count limit for so many years remains a mystery. I've long dreamed of one day releasing a device that eliminates the need to count puffs.
And here it is. Just as handsome as Plonq Meta Lite.
The box design is also similar to the iPhone box design under Steve Jobs.
The box alone commands respect and you wouldn’t be ashamed to give such a device to someone.
The bottom side shows the main characteristics of the POD.
There is documentation under the lid.
You can use the links in the QR codes to download the smartphone app and get your Plonq Meta Smart covered by the warranty.
The device design was recognized as the best in 2025 and was awarded an award.
At the bottom of the box is a high-quality USB Type C cable. This isn't just a stub, but a fully braided cable.
It wouldn't be a shame to put the Plonq company logo on such a cable.
Unfortunately, the Chinese wouldn't be themselves if they didn't have some flaws. In this case, there are some bare spots in the coating around the airflow slider. Since I opened the box myself, I can only blame the manufacturer.
There are speaker holes at the bottom of the battery pack. It emits a signal when the smartphone is searching for the POD. Since the POD has a clock and the signal can be heard, it's unclear why the developers didn't include the ability to set alarms.
Unlike the software, the device itself is thought out to the smallest detail - for example, there is a recess for the USB port, the connector will automatically search for a socket, and you won’t have to drag a metal part across the case, scratching it.
Here is the ideal button - not too small and not too big, doesn't rattle and has the perfect amount of pressure.
The cartridge slot is no different from the Lite version and has fairly powerful magnets and two contacts.
For interacting with the built-in software, the POD has a high-quality color touchscreen. Time will tell how it holds up to scratches.
As in the first model, the cartridge of the second version has a recess so that the liquid covers the liquid supply holes as much as possible.
The steam pipe mouthpiece is convenient.
Side refilling is convenient - you don't have to remove the cartridge to refill it.
I wasn't able to try the second version of the cartridge, but the first version personally makes me uncomfortable. When the liquid is low, the cartridge starts spitting out liquid and hot vapor.
The dotPod Nano has the most optimal draw and vapor temperature.
There is also the issue of availability of cartridges in retail - purchasing them is problematic.
Comparison of Lite and Smart versions of the case.
It's clear that the cartridges are visually different. Prefilled cartridges are priced unreasonably for their region. Not everyone can afford to pay $15 (1,500 rubles) for 3 milliliters.
The device has a real operating system.
There are hints throughout the setup and use.
The interface design is as beautiful as possible.
I won't list all the interface areas on the device, so as not to spoil the experience.
A significant advantage of the Plonq Meta Smart is its mobile app for Android and iOS smartphones. The POD can be controlled directly from your smartphone.
You can also view device usage statistics by puffs
and by time.
You can add multiple devices to the program.
The program has incredible settings such as guest mode and night mode.
You can set goals: Quitting smoking and Controlling consumption.
It's surprising that among the huge number of settings and options, there was no room for alarm clocks.
Everything seems great and even more than one could dream of. But.
Personally, I find using cartridges uncomfortable—they cause spontaneous spitting and hot steam. The problem is purchasing cartridges, especially the latest version.
There are some teething problems with the software: for example, in Session Mode, I set five puffs over a 5-minute period, followed by a 30-minute break during which I'm not allowed to smoke. If I take four puffs and can't or don't want to take a fifth, then after 30 minutes I'll only be able to take one puff and then have to wait another 30 minutes. This means the counter doesn't reset to zero during the break. In this case, the puff count is completely meaningless.
You can't set the nicotine strength. It's funny to see the nicotine level when you're vaping zero.
It's impossible to set a reminder to change the cartridge, or even a start date. It would be better to use the names of the different cartridges.
It's no exaggeration to say that the Plonq Meta Smart is a revolutionary device in the world of vaping, and I'm sure such an amazing team will fix the bugs and add new features to their amazing POD.
Bravo and applause.
