To get a cigarette puff, I went the route of installing an adapter on the Voopoo Drag S and using third-party tanks.
The article is intended for people over 18 years old and who want to quit smoking!
Realizing that after the arrival of the tank from China, I will have to wait for the coils (heating coils) and cotton wool to arrive, so I ordered the coils and cotton wool in the first place.
Despite my pessimism and the price, the spirals came quickly.
The first to come were XFKM SS316L Two core MTL Fused clapton coils for 0.9 ohm cigarette puff with a diameter of 2.5 mm.
The spirals come in a good metal can and are made from threads of various thicknesses.
Next came Clapton Prebuild co il.
They were already packed in a plastic box.
Despite the slight difference in resistance (these coils are 0.85 ohm), they look more impressive and have a thicker wire on the winding.
Longest of all was cotton wool. For ease of use, it has a plastic tight around the edges.
Interestingly, all my worries were in vain, since the tank went for a long time. And in an additional set there were also cotton wool and spirals.
Coils from the additional kit were in a metal can from VopSea.
The coils have a resistance of 0.75 ohms and are made from two wire diameters.
The cotton wool at the ends is also crimped for ease of threading into a spiral.
The clone kit itself is supplied in a polyethylene tube.
In the kit there is even an additional glass from Ultem.
It is not clear what this soft pillow is for. So that everything does not break during transportation?
To the drip-type that is installed, two more are included; one of them has a heatsink.
As a result, we have three high-quality drip types, which already cover the purchase price. Berserker drip tips are considered to be some of the best on the market, and they really are.
Completion of spare parts pleases.
The package contains: a key for screws, orings, spare screws and jets.
Jets have airflow hole sizes: 0.8, 1.0, 1.4, 1.6 and 2 mm. There is no 1.2 mm jet, it was added in the Berserker v2 mini version, along with a 1.5 mm jet.
The tank itself is beautiful. It has a top fill. The tank lid has grooves for easy opening of the lid. The tank holds 3 milliliters of liquid.
There is a 510 connector on the bottom of the tank. There are no inscriptions, as the tank is not original.
The tank has a bottom airflow, which is regulated by the number of open holes.
The blower adjustment ring has a stroke limiter.
The airflow adjustment ring can be easily removed for cleaning when the tank is pissed.
Unfortunately, when removing the tank from the carcass of the battery device, the lid tends to open, as it has a bayonet locking system without fixing. Berserker v2 MTL RTA mini has fixed this issue.
The tank has good large filling holes.
The dome of the tank has a spherical shape and is well finished.
When examining the base, we immediately see that the jet cannot enter completely into the grooves and this misunderstanding is also on the original tank.
Moreover, the protruding jet does not allow the dome to spin normally. These design errors have been removed in the Berserker v2 MTL mini tank.
Racks have good, large holes for the spiral.
The main drawback of the clone is that it does not have a rubber gasket under the jet and the whole point of the jets disappears - you can adjust the airflow only with the airflow adjustment ring. Or insert a plastic or metal cylinder with a small hole. Not only does the original tank piss, but because of this marriage, the clone pisses even more often.
Before burning the spiral, the jets must be removed otherwise they will melt. Lost any sense in a quick change of jets.
The remaining tails of the spiral must be cut flush with the posts, and not like in this photo.
I will use the tank on Voopoo Drag S with an adapter for a 510 connector. How to do it read here.
I used the cotton that came with the tank.
An example of how not to lay cotton wool. It is usually a pity to cut off excess cotton wool, but this cannot be done on this tank.
In the Berserker v2 MTL RTA tank, you need to cut off the ends of the cotton so that they barely touch the bottom of the base. Also, the ends must be fluffed and thinned or the edges of the pigtails cut off with a wedge, otherwise the tank will start to piss ugly and the slurry will also go into the steam pipeline.
To prevent the drip-type from overheating, it is better to install with a radiator.
Even if it seems to you that the tank is dry, it is not at all a fact that there is no liquid under it, so it must be checked periodically.
Sometimes the tank starts to grunt. This is due to the fact that liquid got into the airflow adjustment ring or into the steam pipe shaft.
If the cotton wool is properly laid, the liquid will not accumulate in the steam shaft like here and will not make the sounds of snot in the nose on a frosty winter night.
Conclusions
The fact that I bought not the original tank, but its clone pleases, since it would be completely insulting to suffer with the original tank at the full price list.
Is there a taste in this tank? For the tobacco that I use, the taste is more than enough. There is a good TX (throat hit when puffed).
A lot also depends on the liquid you are using.
Did I do the right thing by buying a non-MTL tank from Voopoo? I don’t think so, since it’s a chore to mess around with these fleece \ spirals, and even the constant expectation when the tank pisses does not brighten up everyday life.
With a tank from Voopoo, you would only need to periodically change the evaporator and flush the tank.
