Brief review of the cooler for the ID-Cooling SE-903-SD processor.
This cooler is essentially unremarkable, among the mass of similar Chinese-made devices, except for one - cooling up to 130 watts is declared.
The cooler is packed in a good box.
The cooler has a universal mount, so it supports the following sockets: LGA 1200, LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, AM4, AM3+, AM2+, FM2+, FM1.
Cooler Specifications:
- overall dimensions - 104 x 75 x 123 mm;
- fan diameter - 92 x 92 x 25 mm;
- net weight - 370 grams;
- rated voltage - 12 Volts DC;
- operating voltage - 10.8 ~ 13.2 Volts DC;
- input voltage - 7 Volts DC;
- rated current - 0.25 Ampere;
- power 3 watts;
- fan speed - 2000 rpm;
- maximum airflow - 37.44 CFM;
- noise level - 23.1 dB.
- bearing type - hydraulic.
The design of the box is as informative as possible.
There are instructions inside the box.
In principle, the instructions are clear.
Next comes the mount.
Comes with spare thermal paste.
Heat removal from the sole to the radiator occurs due to heat pipes.
The fan is controlled by changing the voltage on the three-pin connector. that is, voltage is applied through two contacts, the third contact is for the turnover sensor.
I think that fixing the cooler tower at two points using a plate instead of four is not a very good solution, since the pressing force of the cooler sole to the processor cover is reduced, but this is a price for the cooler's versatility.
Good quality cooler fan on hydraulic bearings.
Aluminum radiator fins.
There are no complaints about the quality of the radiator plates.
Before installation, you must remove the sticker from the sole.
The sole of the cooler is aluminum. The thermotubes are made carelessly - you can see the wrong geometry.
The sole is made extremely carelessly - traces of the cutter are visible, the sole is not polished. If possible, the sole of the cooler must be polished by yourself.
Installation begins with the positioning of the earbuds, depending on the processor socket.
Next, you need to install the mounting ring into the motherboard until it is completely fixed in the holes.
Next you need to insert the spacer pins.
Unfortunately, the spacer studs do not hold well in the liners.
Good quality thermal paste.
You must immediately install the ring correctly, otherwise the distance between the cooler mounting ring and the throttle bodies will be so small that it will be impossible to install the cooler.
Also between the RAM and the ring will be small.
Ring latches must be parallel to RAM.
Nevertheless, even with the correct installation of the ring, it is inconvenient to fix the cooler.
In principle, for the money that is asked for it, this is a good cooler that needs some work. Of course, it will not be able to keep 130 watts out of the box at a hot room temperature, but under standard conditions this is a good solution for Intel processors.
