As I already wrote, I liked the Oud mood fragrance from Chopard, so I looked for similar ones under the same name.
One of the videos featured a review of Oud mood by Lattafa, so I bought it from Star of Morocco on OZON.
The packaging at Zvezda Morokko is amazing. They put all their products in a beautiful, sturdy box.
In addition to the product itself, the box usually contains a perfume sample in a beautiful bag and a booklet with product descriptions.
The brochure features colorful printing, a fragrance pyramid for each type of perfume, and a convenient QR code for accessing the product page.
A well-designed piece of paper lifts your spirits, even though it may seem like just a piece of paper.
The sample contains the OZON article number, which allows you to quickly find the fragrance.
In addition to the large box, the perfume is also wrapped in bubble wrap. The Star of Morocco store has an amazing ability to present its product so skillfully.
The perfume water is in a sealed polyethylene tube.
The tube itself is not only original, but also beautiful.
Eau de parfum contains a large list of ingredients.
Since Lattafa doesn't have a scratch code, you have to rely solely on the holographic sticker.
The hologram should be three-layered: two layers of different Lattafa logos, and the backing labeled "Original." Chinese manufacturers could undoubtedly simply clone the sticker, so it's best to buy from a reputable seller.
The batch code on the bottom of the can has no effect. The shelf life is five years. The recommended shelf life is three years.
The lid is simply removed from the jar and then hangs on a twisted golden rope.
The perfume bottle is housed in corrugated cardboard. However, it wobbles both lengthwise and crosswise. The luxurious tube-shaped box is beautiful, but impractical and inconvenient. Removing and replacing the cap is awkward.
The bottle itself is also elegantly designed - it has a beautiful shape made of thick glass and is entwined with a ribbon bearing the name of the perfume water.
The color of the ribbon depends on the scent, in this case Oud Mood.
At the bottom is a sticker that duplicates the water's characteristics. Lattafa Oud Mood contains 80% alcohol, which is why it's called an eau de parfum, unlike Alan Bray's perfumes, which call their eau de parfum a luxury perfume.
The bottle has a heavy metal cap.
After settling for two weeks, the water has a sweet aroma with caramel and a slight hint of spruce. It's hard to say that the scent is a replica of Chopard's Oud Wood—Chopard's scent is piercing, all-pervasive, with more pronounced accents and a less sweet note.
Two hours after application, Lattafa's Oud Mood acquires a sweet, satisfying quality, settles close to the skin, and can only be detected by placing your nose close to it. After four hours, the scent is undetectable on the skin.
The result is a sweet-spicy fragrance that lasts four hours without sillage, but with such a pleasant aroma that you sometimes miss it after a long time without wearing it.
