Free pattern of a leather Orca toy from Leatherhubpatterns.
Leather stuffed toys are a great alternative to plush toys, which are not recommended for children under 3 years of age due to the danger of suffocation.
Its dimensions are about 300 (~12 inches) mm in length and about ~200 mm (~8 inches) in height and width (fins included).
You will need two black rivets with a diameter of 9 mm and vegetable-tanned leather with a thickness of about 3 ounces (~1.5mm) if you do not have access to thinner, pre-dyed leather.
We used polyester pillow filler for stuffing, but you can find other alternatives.
You may need a black dye if you cannot get pre-dyed skin. We used a professional Fiebing dye, fixing it with acrylic resolene.
